Bullying
As I lay in my bed,
all those words replaying over and over in my head.
I hear the sound of a new text on my phone,
and once again I wish they would just leave me alone.
I cry and cry some more,
wishing people didn't think I was such a whore.
What everyone sees me as is so untrue,
what they don't realize is I'm just trying to be like you.
I just want everyone to like me for me,
but instead they want me to be something I just can not be.
I hurt every day, hoping someone or something will take me away,
away to a better place, where I can just lay down, lay down pain free.
