Changes

We can't change yesterday And we can't change today. We can't go back in time To fix all of our mistakes. We can't take it back. No matter how hard we may try. We can't bring back lives that are lost, Or heal the scars and broken hearts. We can't bring voices to the silenced, Or open the eyes of those who are blind. We can help those who need it now, Those who are damaged, but not yet broken. Because we can't change yesterday, But we can sure as hell change tomorrow.

I have been suffering from PTSD, general/social anxiety and depression since I was very young. I often use writing as an outlet when I feel really upset and I have found it to be a good coping mechanism. My poems reflect the things that I think and feel and I hope that I can write something that people relate to.
