Changing Seasons
The autumn leaf falls to rest,
Air is chill with skies of grey,
A harvest moon atop it's crest,
Gleaming where the frost will lay,
Hear the whispers within the breeze,
Swiriling with a whipping sound,
Whistling through the baron trees,
Blowing branches all around,
Seasons change for young and old,
The summer rain begins to freeze,
A bitter bite the winter cold,
The vernal and aged put on their sleeves,
Fields of green now gilded aslant,
Cloaked in a blanket of white,
Mourning to breathe though it shan't,
Stifled by the winter blight,
The tide has turned, the seasons change,
The frozen sheath begins to melt,
Life restored upon the range,
As nature's wildlife sheds its pelt,
Magestic and wonderful the winter bliss,
Anticipating what change will bring,
Though its beauty maybe missed,
We long await the life of spring.
