Once in a while
As I choke
On your fake smiles
Take the time
To think of me
Before you speak
Bitter as a lime
To me I proclaim
Another promise
To just myself
Never to show my shame
Can't you spare
A minute or two
To stop yourselves
So I don't puke
It can't be so
You all will say
If I ever do decide
To let myself go cold
