Clearer

All I need is self assurance

Self-confidence at its purest

To be the one who doesn't cry in the mirror

To see my beauty just a little bit clearer

To be my own role model in a world that's gone gray

To look at myself and know I'll be okay

All I need is to love myself

because of societies torchers in our prison cells

To let the voices rest in my head

that tell me I'm unworthy from hateful words people have said

To tell myself that these are lies

My self assurance could bring me pride

All I need is a little more time

to love myself, and that's a climb

In the end we are all alone

So to love myself is my home

All I need is self assurance and self love

because without it, I wouldn't live long.

I've had a passion for poetry and stories since I was in 6th grade. Ever since then it became my way of expressing myself. My emotions are my poetry and the words I write are the words I will never say aloud. Why? Because when I write I am Powerful and Confident. I am saying what I've wanted to say so many times before. I am writing my emotional scares on paper and somehow it all makes since again.
