Shoved to his knees

a crown out of thorns, making sure to squeeze

And all you hear are Loud screams

You want to help, your heart begins to race

There lies the man of truth and grace

Head towards the ground, stones ripping up his face

He yells father forgive them, please

All they do is laugh, a hateful disease

“King of the jews”

Blood begins to ooze

His body goes all numb

From a distance, he can the heartbeat of his mom

Knowing what’s to come, understandingly

He says goodbye to his family

The man who was shoved to his knees

He is now at ease

Poetry has been my escape ever since I could remember. Every time I think of what to say or write, my throat has a seal that is broken free from strangulation. Words tend to sporadically slip out of my mouth and I have the pure enjoyment of writing them down.
