Crushed

She takes

and takes some more

but she never takes to time to see who she's stepped on

blinded by her cockiness

i used to want to be her

Until she stepped on my fingers

fingertips bruised by ambition and greed

discouraged by the facade of idols

i learned to give without suffocating
