Dark Clouds
Clouds are dark
The sky is light
Blocked off by the dark
I'm swimming in it
Keep my head up
Out of the clouds
But my vision is clouded
Blink away tears
Running down my face
Rivers of sorrow and wasted hope
Why did I think I could beat the clouds
When weather is an undeniable force
No one hears my screams
The clouds muffle it well enough
Little water droplets keep me hidden
Keep my life contained
The thunder comes
Shakes me awake
No more drowning
Back to treading water
How do I get out of the clouds
When they hide my way out?
I can't see light through them
So I don't know which way is up
Where is the sun?
Where am I?
