Darkness Hides the Shining Stars
My hair is dark like melted coco
Framing my face like a chocolate
Covered cherry. Curling, flowing,
Dipping.
A waterfall of cinnamon leather.
My eyes are portals of indigo.
Dark crystallized rough-hewn
Sapphires. Shimmering, cracking,
Sighing.
Frozen peacock feathers.
My skin is thin onyx smoothed by
Starless skies and charcoal coffee grounds.
Graceful, mesmerizing,
Resting.
Raven blackberry lipstick.
My ears are crying, seeping from
The wounds.
Fat
The onyx shatters
Stupid
The indigo flickers
Monster
The coco dissolves
Darkness hides the shining stars
They call me a monster.
Would they think differently
If they could see
The monster is them
Not me?
