Don’t Talk About Me
Talk: quietly, loudly.
Just don’t talk about me.
I hear everything.
Everything that is me.
Doors are closed.
I hear you, loud and clear.
With my ears.
You talk as though,
I’m not around.
Thing is, I’m in the same room
With you.
What you say,
I try not to pay attention to.
If it’s about me,
Tell it to my face, so I can see.
Don’t act as though I’m invisible.
Cause you know, I’m there.
You just ignore me, thinking I won’t
Hear a thing,
But I do.
It seems as though you,
Don’t really care if I hear,
What you say about me.
I can’t let that just be.
Don’t talk about me.
