The Eagle's Shrinking Forest

Fri, 04/04/2014 - 04:53 -- Teej96

I stretch my span of wing, in the air once again

My senses are heightened, carefully I listen;

Silence.

I fly over forest, why is the green so thin?

I see sapphire water, upon which light glistens;

Brilliance.

But my lands are shrinking, in peril once again

They saw we were frightened, but no one would listen;

Silence.

My home is in unrest, why do my trees grow thin?

Hinder these marauders, let my waters glisten;

Brilliance.
