Ethereal Winter

The wind blows softly, guiding small snowflakes on their dance through the sky.

A rainbow of color ripples across the midnight canvas, the northern lights spread their joy to all that gaze at it’s iridescent brilliance.

Below them a forest of birch and pine  waltz together in a melody of soft rustling and the tinkling of icicles, their branches weaving together and creating a shelter for the life that exists under them.

A mother deer guides her bouncing fawn to the trees, snowflakes dot her eyelashes as she lays down and warms her little one.

Everything is silently watching the dance in the sky unfold in all its splendor, awestruck.

The night continues on, unaware of the sheer beauty it is displaying for its focus is only on giving the world snow, rest, and quiet.
