Ex-Best friend

I could drown in a bath full of tears,

thinking of our life through the years.

Now, all you say is I wish you the best

as you lay all our memories to rest.

I think of what this has put me through,

confusion as to who is this new you.

Whatever; Goodbye I will say,

For our talking has come to its final day.

As one goes on to college, their childhood friends seem to slowly dwindle. The texts and phone calls slowly diminish until eventually they are extinct forever. People change and this poem shows how it can happen to anyone.
