Eyes that Refuse to See

Location

You tell me that you care.

You tell me that students wouldn't dare.

There are of course rules in place

For offenses of such disgrace.

I know you see the cutting words,

I know you see the insults hurled.

I know for sure you can see the hurt.

My question is where are the proof

Of your words?

You hide behind excuses that seem safe and secure,

while the students you teach are slowly blurred.

A place that should hold so much hope, becomes

The cemetery of the insecure.

A place of safety and of love, becomes

A place of fear and hate.

Are you is really blind as you pretend to be?

Are you as really niave as you seem to be,

Or do you not care either way?
