Fading Bitterness
You've spent your life fighting,
invisible creatures that haunt the edges of your dreams,
stumbling lost,
a terrible exhaustion from several mouths,
horrible words,
a string of curses that follow you home,
And some shadows seem too dark,
to look up or through as you walk,
prayers that one of the few around you,
feel the bitter that sits in your bones,
for you've survived more monsters than today,
But your exhausted,
from running through shadows that never stay still,
your just one of the many
who waits for the bitter to fade from your soul
who calls for justice at an iron wall of old words,
maybe not today but tomorrow you say
A wait for change that comes with patience,
if not for you then for what you will bring into the world,
its the cost of crossing paths of broken trusts and liars,
you've felt the backlash of fake promises and love
and you stand in the corner as they publish books of slime,
So I say,
take your words and shout them,
for without them you are the bitterness that they condemn,
a stereotype that they'll look to break and opinionate,
without the knowledge of a life lived in scorn and disgust,
Be the one who rose higher because of their hate,
who will live louder despite their crushing hands,
because you are that light that is yet to shine in history,
and you will shatter the thoughts of who they thought you were,
you are not broken, or forgotten, or have been left behind,
You are the shadow of fading bitterness,
and that's beautiful.
