Façade
Pull me in with that silver tongue.
Become your puppet, completely strung.
You played me like a record.
And I sat through the discord.
Followed along with hope in my heart.
That this time was a fresh start.
But the end was nothing new.
And all your words were proved untrue.
You provided a welcoming front.
But it was nothing but a stunt.
And like a fool I took the bait.
While your only goal was to alienate.
Cast me aside with the rest of the trash.
Avoiding me like a terrible rash.
Forced into the isolation.
Social company is my deprivation.
I once called you my friend.
But that's not how it is in the end.
