Fight Back
For years I stayed forlorn,
Adopting peoples gloss.
They snickered in my way,
Resorting in my brain.
I tried to push it far,
But pain came back like arrows
Within my heart, collapsing.
The outside world thought fine,
While inside world thought die!
I structured a façade
Showing laughter, happiness,
So no one knew my pain.
Is there a cure? Is death
A cure? Is secrecy?
Then one day, someone came
An angel from heaven say.
Advised me, no pain
No gain. No silence is
The answer said she. Now
Defend myself I do.
So what’s the result you say?
Now they stay away with fright;
No longer stand my way.
I show now, laughter, even
My happiness which no long
Is fake. I exist, fixed.
I’m me, I’m real. So try,
Be you! Be Real! Be proud!
