Fighter

Tears run down her face She’s crying for help, but no one hears She starts running like it’s a race Been fighting these bullies off for years They knock her down And call her names They spread rumors all through town And laugh like it’s all a game She’s miserable at school and miserable at home She’s running with nowhere to go In a sea of people, but she’s all alone She takes their words with a heavy blow And yet she stands, Stronger than all those who mock her, She covers her heart with her hands And turns to fight the war that’s against her
