To Fit In

"Can't we be friends?" "Sure but with terms." Squirm and question the contract. Attack those who look, think, or act a certain way? Day by day, our mind conforms to what is "in," And we've fallen over a cliff because we followed, Swallowed up by media, music, and our peers. Getting sneers when you're different and then you start to care. "Dare you to try this, to drink this, to wear this?" "Okay, maybe." Well, it's shady, but you just can't take the hurting and being ostracized. Heck often times you think how to end all of this. Tsk Tsk!! Where's your mind? Don't worry, don't care. Compare not to others but love who you are. Be a star that shines bright in the jet black vacuum of others, No longer smothered by what they want; be a leader, A speaker, a representative for those who are scared to speak up. Snub the bad influences, be above the influence Hence peace, love, thoughtfulness, and tolerence into others you will implant. So can't we all just be friends? Yes, yes we can, Again and again having good moments together and advocating change.
