Fractured Heart

you poured out the fires in my soul when silence jabbered in my ears this fractured heart is on the mend malice you measured in equal dole whisper-screams nobody hears you poured out the fires in my soul in the valley of shadow I found a knoll a stranger wiped my tears this fractured heart is on the mend a sweet pretender to cajole while on the mountain children leer you poured out the fires in my soul the Mark burned you like a coal under Him I'm too small for fears this fractured heart is on the mend when we meet again no heads will roll but let's see who will veer you poured out the fires in my soul this fractured heart is on the mend
