Hell with no Flame

In the beginning, I was not appreciative of what I was given

Drowning in doubt and pain, blinded–

I could no longer see the golden reality.

What did I ever do?

That question branded to the skin.

I just dont get it– I never did– I never would.

Apperacne meant everything in midde school.

Oh how I wish someone told me that.

I would have been better off if they did.

We were poor– that was one thing that never stood out.

Mother always made sure we had everything.

Everything that was necessary to live.

But those devils made school hell.

I say again appearance was everything–

Poor, overweight, acne, and hair that constantly fell out

Those devils made sure I lived in hell

They knew I was not sturdy as steel.

I was as weak as the came–
Tears would pour out without reason.

Sadness painted permanently on my face.

Oh how I hate those devils.

I thought I could win that mental battle,

Oh how I was a fool that play their game–

To weak to speak, to weak to fight

They broke me down, to the point where I was to weak to save myself
