Hidden Wounds

Floating through the air and scratching at my skin Whispers in my ear hoping to come in Leaving scars behind yet not in plain sight Screams that hurt my throat from images in the night Tears replace the blood as flesh hides the wounds and the pain that hurts so much But people don't believe because it's not something you can touch Hateful screams fill my head from friendships I can't mend Except I'm an actress and put on a great show in the end Because smiles replace the trembles and laughs replace the cracks She wishes the rumors would end and people would use real facts
