Hurts

No one knows how much it hurts,
to be treated like you have no worth.
Insulting tongues, judging eyes,
they don't know you go home and cry.

Their blind assumptions, their fake facades,
you wish that they were just a mirage.
Their stabbing words, plunging through your heart
make you feel as if you are being ripped apart.

Crying eyes, weeping ears,
and you know you cannot stop the tears.
Your heart is tearing, you're in so much pain,
after all this torture, how are you still sane?

Always hurting, crying, suffering,
how could this pain be inflicted by another being?
Always have been treated this way your whole life,
how don't they realize that this isn't right?

Words hurt, they scar and bruise,
and after all this pain, you don't know who to accuse.
So many of them do it, so many are the cause,
and when they do it, it is accomplished without pause.
