I am the moon

For ya’ll are the stars There are many of you but only one of me I feel lonely for I cannot see the others of my kind But when I look down onto the earth I get this little shock, For I see another, Just opposite of me I do not care, so I take it into my heart and hold it close But then I find out it’s just my reflection on the water My heart falls and I get so sad But when I see it again I cant help but hope so much and hold it close again.

I was bullied a lot when I was younger, and I thought I finally found someone weird and different like me but it turned out she was just using me because I was desperate for a friend and I couldn’t say no back then. I used the moon as myself because we're both a bit alone. Surrounded by others but no one like ourselves insight. I mean I know there are people different like me, I’ve met a few now, but they were hard to find. I hope no one has to EVER go though the loneness I went though.
