I Envied Them

Location

The others, they'd laugh, they'd snicker.
Choosing teams, they'd say, "Don't pick her."
Turning red, embarrassed, I stood.
I envied them and that's not good.

I watched from afar, wished to play.
"You're too weird," they always did say.
"Become my friend," but no one would.
I envied them and that's not good.

New clothes, new shoes, they'd always wear.
I felt jealousy, so unfair!
To have their stuff, I wished I could.
I envied them and that's not good.

Seriously, words really hurt.
Please, oh please, don't ever speak dirt.
I highly disliked my childhood.
I envied them and that's not good.
