I Forgive You
Dear Bully,
Do you remember when you punched me it the face
Or in front of the girl I liked, called me a disgrace
Do you remember when I would run away and hide
Or when you were near that I cowered down inside
Well I do
But I forgive you
Do you remember when you threw my shoes up in a tree
Or when you said something funny and everyone laughed at me
Do you remember when in the principal’s office you lied
Or when you left me in a chair tied
Well I do
But I forgive you
Do you remember when harsh words at me you lashed
Or my A+ project you trashed
Do you remember when you hit me with a bat
Or when you shot spit wads where I sat
Well I do
But I forgive you
Do you remember when you were the new kid in class
Or when your tests I helped you pass
Do you remember when I said I’d be your friend
Or when you replied, till the very end
Well I do
And I hope you do too
