I Want To Know Why

When I was five

You would pull my hair

Call me a doody head

I wouldn't care

That was okay

You made fun of me

I didn't comprehend

When I was eleven

You would whisper

Point and laugh

It didn't bother me

Much

I figured it wasn't about me

I ignored you

When I was fourteen

You kicked my seat

Spread Rumors About me

I didn't understand

What I did

To deserve this kind of treatment

When I was sixteen

I was ignored by everyone

There were rumors

Worse ones going around

I didn't care

I hated them all

For spreading this hate about me

Why did you choose me?

What did I do?

I still don't understand.

Will I ever understand?

How can someone be so cruel?

And why doesn't anyone help?
