I was terrified to confide

I was terrified to confide in you, Letting you in meant letting secrets loose. Trust not being something I was used to, But I couldn't hide behind this excuse. Step by step and day by day my trust grows, Slowly but surely you win me over. Though I'm still guarded with thorns like a rose, You always insist on pushing closer. Fighting you had proven to be useless, You had your mind set on breaking my walls. And if I'm being completely honest, I admit to giving into the fall. Who knew that it would be you to break me, Who knew that I didn't mind that it be.
