I will never be bait

I will never be your own idea of me

I will never live up to your expectations of me

I will never live in your fears that you call “Being realistic”

I will never change myself for you

I will never put myself lower then you so you can feel bigger

I will never be a play thing

I will never put my life on pause for you

I will never be pulled in to depths of my sadness

I will never let you pull and push me to your satisfaction

I will never stop being myself

I will never EVER be bait

Not again

Not EVER again

Sometimes I wish my heart didn’t exceed my own body

It sucks honestly

You blindly take the hate people give

And think “They only want the best for me, Right?”

They care for you right?

They don’t

So…

I will never waste my breath on you ever again

I don’t ever want my pain and hurt to come back

Being hateful towards everyone and everything is dark

Living in the darkness was like drowning

Now I embrace it

And spreading positivity is what I do best

Being me

Is what I do best

Not what you expected of me, huh?

Cool, that’s what I want

You want to know what I truly think?

The sweet naïve girl you thought I was

Everyone one of you lives in fear and negativity

You feared someone who was a weak

But you saw someone who was vulnerable

Someone who was less then you

So

I was bait

Like any other scared two faced friends

You used my kindness and twisted it

You molded my personality

Something you wanted

I lived in fear of you

And you lived in fear of me

Because if I ever realized what you were doing

You should be ashamed

If I realized what more I was capable of

I would be stronger than you

Well,

Your nightmare came true

The naïve girl

That you told

Would end up in abusive relationship

That people would sink their teeth into me

That I couldn’t accomplish nothing

That my dreams were flying too close to the sun

And I would burn

How wrong you are my old friend

You know me

My risky ambition and determination

The love I have for myself

Surpass your own

And that won’t change

Call it what you want

But I will never be stoop to your level of wicked

I am not you

And I am not bait

I will never be bait

And I accomplished something

Without you

And that thing

Is being better off without you
