If

You.

Your words;

turned into commands for me to bend.

I became your puppet on string.

If you only had told me you cared;

then I would have believed you.

If only you had told me I was skinny enough;

then I would have believed you.

If only you had told me that I was pretty enough,

then I would have believed you.

If you had told me I was worth it,

then I would have felt it.

Your words were the only ones that ever mattered

I gave you the power to control my life

And all you did was ruin it.

You meant the world to me.

I trusted you.

I believed in you.

I continued to always forgive you.

You took advantage of me,

Controlled me for the worst.

You turned everyone against me,

But worst of all you, turned myself against me.

You hurt me,

You scared me forever.

I will always have a you shaped print on my heart.

A simple reminder, each day;

Of everything you would never tell me.

If only you had just told me I was worth anything at all,

Then you would have saved my life.
