If I Died

If my heart

Stopped its gentle bawt

And ceased to be

Would you think of me

If I closed my eyes

And thought no longer

Of life and what comes after

Would you fill with laughter

If my soul drifted

On like water down

Your parched throat

If I was buried

Deep down as if I

Was no longer around

Would you care if I was found?

If I was gone

Forever to never see you again

Would you forget me

Or would you remember me

And all the memories?
