I'll Be Your Enemy

When no one is there to hurt you
I'll be your enemy

Says the shadow in the corner
Everyone needs a good enemy to despise

When no one is there to tease you
I'll be your enemy

Says the mean kid at school
Everyone needs a good bully to ignore

When no one is there to annoy you
I'll be your enemy

Says your little sibling
Everyone needs a good pest to get revenge on

Everyone needs a good enemy
A good enemy who annoys and teases and hurts you
A good enemy to despise and ignore and get revenge on

Everyone needs a good enemy

Hello! I'm in high school, and currently writing poetry. I love writing in general, but poetry has always had a special place in my heart. Thanks for reading my stuff! Be safe and have a nice day :)
