I'm Sorry
For the future generations
For the kids who will never experience Mr.Rogers
For the parents who give their children away
For the beautiful girls who are bought as slaves
For I’m sorry’s and lets fix this that mean nothing
I am 16, living in freedom
I am sorry for those who will be born already addicted to drugs
I am sorry for every person in the world who is effected by societies view of perfection.
For what have we done to this world
I apologize to every special needs child who live in a world of others laughter and their tears
I am sorry for every model who has no idea of the weight they put on “regular” girls when they get on a scale
For unnecessary pain we inflict on ourselves because we want to fit into this circle of life when we are a square
I am sorry that being yourself is no longer acceptable but starving yourself and ending up in the hospital is
What has this world come to
When the highest money taking business is pornography
What happened to our hearts, God’s beautiful photography
made alive in front of our eyes
For in these photos we are not the background we are the focus
I am sorry that it is taking our world so long to realize that beauty comes from within, not from being stick thin
And I'm sorry future generations for what you have in store.
It is a tragedy, and unneeded, and petty
For next time you feel like because of all this you have nothing to live for,
Know that after this life there is so much more and it is worth fighting for.
For now, forever,
For me and for you
If I can fight then so can you
Take a stand and change the world
as we band together and make a difference
Just use this poem as a reference
Next time the tear is about to form
Someone wants to know you and care just
a little bit more.
