Insecurities

She sits there at the empty table

her face clear but her thoughts unstable,

all the voices seem so loud on her empty table.

Their voices seem to grow louder,

as the silence grew bigger.

"Look at her shirt" they say,

she fixes herself right away.

"Look at her hair," they say,

she brushes her hair to feel at bay.

"Gosh what is wrong with her?" they whisper,

she silently tells herself that she's okay.

Their judgments seem to grow louder

as her mind becomes weaker.

She focuses her thoughts on her loud music

all the voices are being so abusive.

"What are you doing here all alone?" they ask.

She smiles the voices slowly disappearing,

her mind slowly clearing,

her saviors still lingering.

She looks around the empty room,

what was once her personal doom.

She looks at her saviors face,

all of them in the chair in place.

What used to be the empty table

is now full of people.
