Invisible

Have you ever felt invisible?

I know I have,

But it made me feel in some way invincible

I feel invisible when I am depressed.

Alone, scared, my life is on the line,

Like my whole body is distressed

Do you really know me?

I fear you see the side I pretend to be

Because the real me is the one I fear to be

Invisible isn't a bad thing,

You can go unnoticed and still be accounted for,

Like a puppeteer with the string

If I sent this to you consider yourself especial.

I don't come out too often,

My life written on a page is pretty special

I am a high school senior, I love to write in general, photography, and acting. Writing, especially poetry, has helped me not only grow in my talent but also get my inner critic to vanish and fuel my writing. I began writing poetry my sophomore year in high school with my first piece being about nature, and I have continued on with poetry and learned from each writing to make the next one better. Poetry is definitely something I am passionate about, there is just something about how one stanza can bring so much impact to the piece.
