Just a Pile of Straw

Crowd

pin in a haystack

falling through to the ground

I walk through

unnoticed, listening in to their

conversations, attempting to get a word

in, without a pause

Pin

sharp made of metal

ready to pierce through

Ideas thoughts or

Conversations, the communication of

ideas, allowing one to

hear, and be heard

Contact

slicing through a blade

lodging itself, unsure if it belongs

Hesitant words uttered in between

others, grasping for footing amongst foreign

topics, searching for understanding.

protruding,

dangerous as it lays

there, afraid of puncturing the established quo
