Irony

Sun, 12/08/2013 - 21:05 -- Cadaver

I'm just a number

A nameless face you'll forget next year

You only care about my grade

Because if it's too low, you'll get fired

We wouldn't want that, would we?

If it's all the same to you

I'll forget you too

And the only things we'll remember about each other

Are the negative things

Such a shame

It's a dance and a joke

We pretend to care

You pretend to teach

And I pretend to learn

It works out for everyone that way

You'll lie

You'll snip

You'll rule above us all

And I'd be the one in trouble for standing up

But life is unfair

Yet in the end

Who's really the one on the losing end?

The one holding her tongue and dancing to your tune

Or the one who's stuck here for all their life?

Oh the irony
