Legado Sin Fin

In the twilight of life as years gracefull dance,

The heart of Hispanic heritag, we hohnot and enhance,

With hands that have toled como manos de guerrero,

Through decades of labor sinc descanso sincero,

They carry the stories of sweat,

Age gracfully they do until their body breaks,

For resilience runs deep, is a gift I celebrate,

La resistencia profunda, un regalo que celebro,

In the fields they've labored, bajo el sol ardiente,

In kitchens, en casa, con amor persistente,

They've woven a tapestry, of cultures interwined,

Aching bojnes may whisper, susurran en silencio,

But the spirit ignites como fuego eterno.

Their laughter and wisdom, a divine gift,

A toast, brinemos, to our elders,

con amor sin cesar,

Their strength and their stories, sus fuerzas y historias

un legado sin fin, endless legacy.

Poetry has been my escape ever since I could remember. Every time I think of what to say or write, my throat has a seal that is broken free from strangulation. Words tend to sporadically slip out of my mouth and I have the pure enjoyment of writing them down.
