A lethal weapon

Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But words can never hurt me
A deceiving phrase
Hardly said these days
Words can kill most certainly

Bullies push and shove
Fire words that lack love
The unique individual suffers
Painful words are said
Senseless tears are shed
Of those who are our brothers

Words like a dagger
Can cause us to stagger
Severe wounds take much time to heal
For those who see no light
We must put up a fight
To mend the hurt they feel

Action must be taken
To help those who are forsaken
To aid the damaged is in our blood
One step at a time
We abolish this crime
Till no one is left in the mud
