A Light In The Darkness

There was a darkness.

A darkness no one should ever experience.

That feeling you are NOT good enough,

Feeling you are NOT loved,

Feeling like everything IS your fault,

Feeling like you want to remove yourself from the world.

Not just for a day,

But forever.

However,

In the darkness,

There is a light.

A light everyone should experience.

That feeling you ARE good enough for the world,

Despite all your mistakes,

Feeling like you ARE loved by people,

Feeling calm and at rest

Because now you know.

You know nothing is your fault

Feeling you only want to be here for the light.

The light shines so bright everyone can see it.

The light that picks you up,

The light that makes you happy,

No matter if the light is a person, place, or thing

There is ALWAYS a light in the darkness.

The light is NOT scars on your body,

The light is NOT alcohol,

The light is NOT drugs,

That is darkness, my friend.

The light is a harmless happiness.

A happiness people aim for,

The light will NOT leave your side no matter what,

Just remember,

There is awlays a light

Even in the darkness.
