Little Things

It's just a little thing, they say. A little name, a little tease. A little coquettish smile, a little laugh. A little cruel flash of little cruel eyes. A little tear rolling down a little cheek. A little world that you have to learn how to live in. A little school that you have to learn how to fight in. A little space where you curl up and you wish for it all to end. A little hand held out to you by a friend. A little smile that rolls up on your lips. A little laugh as you take that little step forward. A little step, they say. A little step out of the darkness, and into a little bit of light. A little bit of bullying, that didn't end a pretty little life. All because of a pretty little friend, who taught you how to fight.
