In Love with the Seemingly

You sit across from me in this shrinking room Every so often glancing up, making small conversation Enough to fill the gaps Enough to blow my heart up with the hope of your words The sugary sweet and honey dipped blanket coating every syllable parting your lips There are so many, too many moments I'm smitten by you I feel as if staying away was never something written in my future Always destined to find you Destined to be enchanted To fall in love To seek your warmth and company Nothing less and always more In a way, you've been good for me Taught me strength Helped me gather control Embraced my inner self You led me away from a shackled future, helped set me free But my other hand shows decline I get jealous...you're not even mine I'm restless from lack of attention and blind with glittering hope for unlikely scenarios I suppose...that we could still be But the question is always when I'm growing ever impatient and while you speak words of encouragement and hope You land blows of confusion Do you really want me?
