Lovelorn

To HH,

There are so many things I feel inside,

Something boiling deep inside.

No matter how much I suppress the feeling,

The feeling inside doesn’t want you alive.

You hurt me, killed me, and tore out my heart,

Threw it away where no one could find.

I feel dead, cold, and I suffered greatly.

Dead is how you look in my mind.

And yet, I feel something greater than that.

It’s a feeling perhaps I’ve confused with hatred.

It’s confusing, twisting, turning, churning,

Something that makes my cheeks turn red..

Perhaps I’m insane, or crazy,

Or maybe I am being mislead.

But the feeling I feel when you’re in the room,

Is a mess that I terribly dread.

I loved you forever,

At least so I thought.

But this feeling you gifted me,

Is what I wish you never brought.

It’s a pain in my brain,

But as I’m rotting away,

You play your stupid game,

As you’re screaming “Hooray!”

And as I’m calling out your name,

In an unsettling way,

You say,

“This game you created, I don’t want to play.”

And now I’m sitting here confused,

And wondering how

This friendship, this feeling I had,

gone south.

I cried bricks made of tears,

For your admiration,

But now everyday, I pray,

For your eternal damnation.

But this feeling that’s swirling

Over my head,

Keeps me awake, laying under

The covers of my bed.

I don’t know or understand,

But I’m sick of the fighting,

The screaming, the yelling,

The bruises and the biting.

Now I pray that my words

Will be like a peaceful dove.

This letter I have written,

I wrote it with love.

Forgive me, please.

I’m sorry for the trouble.

I just want to be friends.

I’m not asking to be a couple.
