The Many Pieces of Me

I am many things

I am a student

I am a daughter

I am a role model

I am many things

but sometimes I just want to stop being something for someone else

I want to be something for myself

I want to be me

There are always people who try to drag me down 

People who don't know the real me 

I am an artist

I am a future farmer

I am a performer

I am an athelete

There are many pieces of me

Sometimes they get tangled an I have to set them free

but other times they are interconnected

I am a geek 

I am a rocker

I am a phan

I am a gamer

These are all pieces of me

the only thing I ask of others

is to be accepting of who I am.
