The Mask

Behind this mask I am free

No chains or lies shall hold to me

Judgement shall not recall my name

Nor will I be of other's game.

You cannot make me fear your hate

Your lies, your pain, your change of taste

I will not be beneath your will

Nor will I ever remain still.

I move like shadows beneath your feet

I live as death and life and cheat

Never will you find my heart

Never can you tear me apart

For I am free here in the dark.
