Masks we wear

Masks are more than you think,

you use them every day.

They are attached to you like a link,

even in what you say.

They hide who you truly are,

and replace it with what you want others to see.

We wear our masks because we're afraid,

in fear of what others believe.

We form this blockade,

as to deceive,

who we think will take our confidence like a thieve.
