The Mold
Why can't you just fit in?
I've heard time and time again.
Why can't you be like everyone else
with trophies lining the shelves
be beautiful, be thin
be a star always win
Why oh why can't you just fit in?
I want to be seen for who I am
I want to do more than just think I can.
Rise up and be myself
not worry about anything else.
Size doesn't matter
not my ability, or strength
Why is there so much pressure to match the wave length?
I want to be loved for what's inside
For my soul, my beauty, and my pride.
My laugh and my smile
my drive to go the extra mile.
Shining like the sun.
not fading once more to the back
never again disappearing against the black
Now I need you most. I'll hold on forever.
You show me you love me with every endeavor.
I know you care. You died for my soul.
I will never stray or let you go.
You've never asked me why can't I just fit in.
you simply accept me again and again.
