My little brunette

I would like to always be there for you

To be a shoulder to cry on

Someone you can talk to

Someone who will understand your pain

She tore you down

She took your light

And now I'm going to give it back

Give you back your light

Help you stand

And realise that you are better

Then she told you, you were

I would like to take away your memories of her

To take away all the pain she caused you

Oh my little Brunette

I would like to shelter you from her cold grasp

She left you empty

She left you feeling not good enough

She left you alone

Thinking you did something wrong

But she was wrong

In all possible ways

She tore you down

To bring herself up

You were always enough

But she didn't want you to know that

She thought if she could take your light

She would shine

What she didn't know

My little Brunette

Is that you are stronger than her

You are greater than she could ever dream of being

Even though you still feel the pain

You shine bright

Even though she brought you down

You keep rising higher

She left you empty

She left you feeling not good enough

She left you alone

Thinking you did something wrong

Oh my little Brunette

I'm not always there for you

I wish I could be

But sometimes I can't get to you

I can't say the words you so desperately need

Oh my little Brunette

I wish I could

With one word

Banish her and her influence

Take away all those horrid thoughts

She put in your head

But I don't have that power

I can't take it all away

I can't erase her

But you don't need me

She may have left you struggling to breathe

Fighting back those daggers she threw at you

But who you became,

Is beautiful

A flower rising from the rubble

Changing the world, improving it

Blessing those around you,

One day at a time

Thank you my little Brunette

For letting me in to see the truth

She left you empty

She left you feeling not good enough

She left you alone

Thinking you did something wrong

I'm sorry

I couldn't save you from her cold grasp

I promise,

I will do everything I can to help you heal

To help you see the light you shine

My little Brunette

I'm sorry I wasn't there for you sooner
