My Present is My Past

The past is the past

What happens there stays there

Don't fret about it

That's what they all say

So why is it that my memories don't seem to fade

My wounds feel deeper

My heart cries more

And I'm lost in myself once again

They say time heals all

But why am I still in pieces

How long must I wait

Till things from my past

Stay in the past
