My Way

I stand my ground, don’t give way

To anybody or what they say

I have my own thoughts inside my mind

I try to be respectful, honest, kind

Because I know what bullies can do

To my own self I try to be true

I don’t give in to my other peers

Who stink up the world with their insults and jeers

And when someone does something dumb

I’m not there, cause I don’t do that slum

No one can tell me how to act

I’m my own person, and that’s a fact

I’m the boss of myself and set my own tone

No evil outsiders can penetrate my zone

I’m proud of my stubbornness, and love my fire

That can stave off the questions that inquire

Whether I would do something bad with friends

I’m always on guard, for it never ends

I’m perfect because I speak for myself

I put all the temptations high on a shelf

I never give up, I never give in

For when I say no I always win
